אבל והעוסקים במת פטורים מק"ש. ובו ז סעיפים: מי שמת לו מת שהוא חייב להתאבל עליו אפי' אינו מוטל עליו לקברו פטור מקריאת שמע ומתפלה ואפי' אם רוצה להחמי' על עצמו ולקרות אינו רשאי ואם יש לו מי שישתדל בשבילו בצרכי קבורה ורצה להחמיר על עצמו ולקרות אין מוחין בידו:
El doliente y quienes atienden a un difunto están exentos del Shemá. Contiene siete apartados: Quien ha perdido a una persona por la que está obligado a guardar duelo, aunque no le corresponda ocuparse de su entierro, está exento del Shemá y de la oración. Incluso si quiere ser estricto y recitarlos, no puede. Si tiene a alguien que se ocupe por él de las necesidades del entierro y desea asumir la exigencia, no se lo impide.
